Zendesk

What's great

Zendesk is reliable. I never have trouble accessing the service and everything seems to work as designed.

What needs improvement

complexity (2)expensive (2)outdated UI (1)analytics and reporting (2)feature depth (3)customer service responsiveness (3)siloed systems (4)

Zendesk feels like a service that was built in 2010 and then never developed any further. Basic, fundamental aspects of the service such as managing macros are an absolute nightmare to try to use. Trying to get analytics out of Zendesk is equally frustrating. I cannot name a single improvement in the last 10 years. I think they might have re-skinned their settings page a year or two ago, but that change only made Zendesk more difficult to use. I have been using Zendesk since we adopted them at Twitter in 2009 or so, and I'm beyond tired of the poorly made program. Once the founders were able to cash out, it seems like Zendesk was left to float aimlessly. I strongly advise against using Zendesk to handle customer support requests.

ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ Bear
Bear Blog makes it easy to quickly build a great blog. It's simple but lets you customize the things that matter. No bloat, no unnecessary features. The platform gives you what you need to write and publish without getting in your way. You can style your blog how you want without dealing with complex settings or paying for features you don't use. What I really appreciate is the developer's approach. While other platforms chase trends and add AI to everything, Bear Blog sticks to being a solid blogging tool. It's built to last, not to follow fads. I have faith that it will last. Bear Blog works well and doesn't try to be more than it needs to be. It's a good platform for anyone who just wants to write.
Jumpshare
I love Jumpshare's simplicity. It doesn't have all of the useless bloat of Loom and it doesn't force me to login every other day like Zight does. Jumpshare lets me easily share files very quickly. It's super reliable.
Shop Maui Local
This website is sure neat! I just placed a few orders with the businesses listed. One piece of feedback that entered my mind is that when browsing Shop Maui Local, I would be interested to see where on Maui each business is located. While it's not a big island, I am still curious about what parts of the island these businesses call home. Could be neat to see a little map with a pin on each business page so that it further connects the business with Maui.
