How is it possible to launch a SaaS business without any tech knowledge? 🚀
Hey Product Hunt,
I m curious for those of you who ve done it (or are doing it), how did you launch a SaaS without a tech background?
What tools, tips, or strategies helped you make it work?
Did you use no-code, hire devs, or partner with someone?
🧠 Update: We just gave our AI a memory - Flamme AI 2.0 (for Relationships & Couples)
When we launched Flamme back in 2022, the vision was simple:
Help couples stay and grow in love every day.
How many hours do you think a workweek should have? (And what's the answer from big companies)
The standard we've known since Henry Ford's time is 40 hours a week.
However, today I came across this article:
Google 60 hours a week is what it demands from its engineers.
Which CRM Reigns Supreme? Pipedrive vs Attio
I ve been researching CRMs and keep coming back to two options: @Pipedrive and @Attio . Both seem like solid choices, but they have very different approaches. I wanted to get some insights from the community if you ve used either (or both), I d love to hear your thoughts!

AI Interfaces of the Future (YC video w/ Rafael from Notion Calendar)
I really enjoyed this breakdown by @raphaelschaad and @aaron_epstein (YC partner):
They walk through some cutting edge AI apps:
@Vapi - voice api for devs
@Retell AI - build voice agents
@Gumloop - AI zapier
@AnswerGrid - outbound research
@Polymet - AI product designer
Zuni - ai in your chrome sidebar
and @Argil - video clone generation
They talk about some recurring themes:
- When prompts take a long time, give the user something engaging to do while they're waiting.
- Canvas is a powerful UX paradigm for understanding workflows. I appreciated Rafael's insight that zooming in / out can allow for understanding a complex workflow at multiple levels of fidelity.
- Voice interfaces - latency and interruptibility are the main factors in a good user experience.
- Discoverability / templates. The problem with LLM prompts is they're so open - I don't know what I can do with them. Have some easy templates at your users' fingertips as a starting point.
One big area I found missing is the subtleties of code assistants - In particular, I feel like the cutting edge of LLM interfaces is being explored by the likes of @Cursor , @Windsurf - and other code assistants that are being used in high-stakes production code.
The other reason code assistants are interesting to me is that it appears these products are winning based on the interface, not the underlying models (since those are fungible).
If you use Windsurf, Cursor, I'd love to hear what about the UX design feels new / superior.
How did you finance your business?
How did you get the seed capital to start your business?
I see mostly VC-funded companies on Product Hunt (mostly YC).
But are there people who fund their businesses in other ways?
some thoughts after my first day using windsurf. spoiler: i like the icons
I've been using @Spacemacs for a few years now. Recently, I started using @VS Code to "see what I was missing". I liked that linters and such seemed to work a bit smoother out of the box.
I kept hearing:
VSCode is dead, Cursor is the way.
Then I started hearing:
Windsurf is the way, Cursor is dead.
Today I used Windsurf for the full day. Some raw thoughts:
I like the icons!
Treating it like an "op autocomplete" was pretty powerful! It made refactoring and quick changes really really fast.
Asking it to make a bunch of changes doesn't flow well for me yet. I guess it's hard for me to grok the diffs quickly, and it just feels faster to be pushing code around myself. maybe this will change with experience.
When i wanted to "think hard" i found the autocomplete kind of annoying. i was trying to write some weird recursive code with bad variables names to quickly prototype. it would have been nice if I could say "chill out on the autocompletes until i finish this thought", maybe like a toggle somewhere? does this exist already?
the center pop up menu is cool.
how do i make the cascade drawer close from the keyboard? Cmd +B closes the left drawer -- something similar for "cascade" would be good to know.
overall, i enjoyed it. will use again tomorrow.
What's in your dock?
I was recently reminded of @Dockhunt and how fun it was to see what kinds of apps different folks kept in their dock. I remember it being a cool way to discover some new products I hadn't seen before. I'm also just a big fan of desktop apps over web apps. I find it a lot easier to stay focused when I'm flipping between apps vs flipping between tabs.
These are the apps in my dock:
@Google Chrome - Pretty basic. I've really been considering switching over to @Horse though.
@Slack - The de facto option.
@Superhuman - Maybe the fastest I've become a fan of a product. I think I was pushing it on others within a few hours.
@Notion - Great for documentation and collaborating. I also use it personally for tracking books I read and video games I play, along with tracking personal projects.
Notion Calendar - The menu bar aspect of this is really what sold me. It makes it so much easier to stay on top of my meetings every day.
@Linear - We just recently switched over to Linear here at @Product Hunt and I've been loving it. Pro tip: if you prefer the desktop app, there's a setting to open links in the app, but you can only set that option through the web version.
@iTerm2 - I've tried others, but this is my favorite. This + @Neovim is just
@Claude by Anthropic - This has been my LLM of choice for a while, and I really like having it as a desktop app. Especially the keyboard shortcut to quickly bring it up and ask something.
@Tandem - Super easy to stay in touch and sync with teammates. Incredibly useful for a remote team.
@Spotify - I typically have a YouTube video on in the background, but if I'm writing or doing something more focused, I'll typically have some kind of Jazz going.
