How do you know when it’s time to give up on a startup idea?

You ve put in the hours.

You shipped the MVP.

You posted on all the platforms.

You got some users. Or maybe not.

Exploring a lightweight alternative to Canny for SaaS feedback would you use it?

I ve been running into the same headache over and over again as a founder:

User feedback is scattered everywhere. Some comes in via email, some in Slack or Discord, and sometimes even random DMs or tweets. Tools like Canny or UserVoice are great, but for small SaaS or indie projects they feel heavy and pricey.

I m exploring the idea of something lighter and faster to set up:

How do you solve the catch-22 of getting feedback without having an audience?

I keep running into this problem as an indie hacker:

I need an audience to get feedback.

I need feedback to grow an audience.

Classic catch-22.

Marketing manager building AI coding tools with some friends

Hey Product Hunt

I m Shirley, a marketing manager currently building Lumi.new with some friends. It s a natural-language-to-code playground think AI coding, but with stronger handling of more complex scenarios (though it s not always easy to show that in a quick demo).

How can you promote your launch when the "Coming soon" page is not longer available?

Yesterday, @rohanrecommends noticed some changes on this Platform  the "Coming soon" page is gone.

There's no reason to panic because you have plenty of options to be visible, for example:

  • You can place the PH badge (button for support) on your landing page.

  • You can send a reminder email or push notification to your supporter.

  • You can set up a LinkedIn/Facebook virtual event where you insert the link for your launch.

  • You can use PH forums with relevant categories to make announcements if you have previously launched, for example, p/Google, allowing you to use the platform directly.

Product Hunt discontinued coming soon / teaser pages. Did they work for you?

I noticed that Product Hunt discontinued the teaser / coming soon section this week, and I m curious if it did help you build genuine traction?

My take (from hunting PH launches):

Are startup accelerators still worth it in 2025?

Lately there s been a growing wave of skepticism around VCs, Y Combinator, and accelerators in general. And to be fair: I get it.

We now live in an age where almost everything you need to learn can be found online. The gatekeepers are fewer, the knowledge is everywhere, and solo builders have never been more empowered.

Does AI actually save us time. Or just change how we waste it?

Some time ago, a friend of mine - a business consultant - brought up something during a live conversation that really stuck with me:

If AI gives us back time, but we don t use that time more wisely - what have we actually gained?

Don't let data sleep, transform it!

Don't let data sleep means turn it into something people actually read.

You don t need another dashboard.

You need a way to:

The Power of Clean Colors, Whitespace & Minimal UI/UX Design

In a world overloaded with digital noise, @SK-iTPRO , founded by @sagar_keshwala , champions a design philosophy that s refreshingly simple - yet remarkably effective.
Rooted in clean color palettes, purposeful whitespace, and a minimalistic approach, @SK-iTPRO designs aren't just aesthetically pleasing - they re strategic.

Why Clean Colors Matter :

Colors aren t just visual decoration - they re communication tools. @SK-iTPRO leverages clean, modern color systems that create emotional clarity and enhance usability. Whether it s calming neutrals or high-contrast accents, the goal is always the same : make the user feel comfortable, confident, and in control.

Launching globally from Kazakhstan. Silicon Valley would say ‘wait, where?’

When we started building our social app out of Astana, we heard from other startups that we needed to be building out of Silicon Valley. Kazakhstan just wasn t on the map.

But then Higgsfield AI came out swinging from here, and suddenly global VCs started name-dropping them like it s proof they re open-minded now.

It s wild how much location bias shapes a startup s first impression until someone else makes it cool.

Do investors really care about the team and the problem? Or is your HQ address still the first filter?

Principles for building AI-native products?

Hey Product Hunters, The "AI-powered" wave is everywhere, and it's exciting! But as builders, it makes me think: are we always pushing 'AI-First' in a way that truly benefits the user, or are we sometimes just adding AI features, potentially increasing complexity, and calling it innovation? Having spent time building a tool where AI is foundational rather than an add-on, my strong belief is that true AI-First design should fundamentally be about subtraction, not addition. The goal should be a significantly simpler, more intuitive user experience than a non-AI alternative. Based on my experience, here are some principles I focus on for genuinely AI-native products: * Automation for Simplicity: AI's power should be used to abstract away underlying complexity. It should take raw data, complicated processes, etc., and deliver a clear, simple output or actionable insight to the user. * Proactive Value Delivery: The AI shouldn't just sit there waiting for user input. It should proactively surface what's important, highlight changes, or suggest the 'next best action' without the user having to manually pull or analyze. * Built-in Adaptability: A truly AI-native product learns from the user and data patterns to adapt the experience over time, ideally simplifying onboarding and personalizing the workflow without requiring extensive manual configuration from the user. The core idea is to use AI to do the 'heavy lifting' the mundane, time-consuming tasks the user previously had to grapple with manually. The product should deliver the result, the insight, or the recommended action directly, rather than requiring the user to navigate complexity to find it. If integrating AI requires users to learn more steps or adds layers of complexity, it's likely missing the point. The real magic of AI-First is its potential to drastically lower cognitive load and accelerate time-to-value. It's less about the number of AI features, and more about how AI enables simplicity and proactive usefulness. Curious to hear your thoughts and experiences! As builders or users, what are the best examples you've seen of AI genuinely simplifying a product or workflow? Conversely, where has it added frustration? And importantly, what UX/product principles do you believe are non-negotiable when building truly AI-native experiences? Let's discuss!

Why you should be tracking your VO2 max - and how to do it better

Hi all! Movitalis is launching soon and I want to talk about one of the most important but under appreciated fitness indicators: VO2 max.

While it did become more popular lately it is still not widely known that VO2 max is an amazing indicator of overall health and predictor of longevity. In this study of over 1 million participants, a low VO2 max was linked with a 3-5x increase in overall mortality. This is an amazing finding as VO2 max is something we can increase through regular exercise, especially if done correctly.

Data entry automation- Feedback needed!

The team would love to hear from more folks that are doing manual data entry for ERP, EDI etc.
Would love to know your frustrations, your problems and how we might be able to help?

How did you build a local-first react native app?

I'm curious how people build local-first apps. I don't need full CRDT support, but more just syncing with a "parent" db (both pulling new data and pushing locally created records).
I see tinybase which feels maybe a bit more powerful than what I need (?).

I also see livestore which feels scary to build on something that new.
Is there a non-hack way to use sqllite and sync to a postgres db?
Basically my criteria in order of importance would be:
1. stays out of my way (easy to deploy, migrate, use)
2. has leverage with types (a standard linter tells me I'm blowing up the app with the code I just wrote)
3. stable (I would ideally just learn a "goto" tool and use that on all projects going forward)
