Friend upvotes, ads pitches, no product feedback. Is organic discovery dead?

I launched a product here recently (a real-time isometric social game). I came for what I thought this community was for: people looking at the thing and saying what s working and what isn t.

What I actually got: almost no comments on the product, upvotes mostly from people I already know, and a fast stream of pay for ads so others can see it.

I m not posting this to relitigate my ranking. I m trying to understand the signal.

If the main path to being seen is paid, how useful is that as feedback that the product is any good? Ads can buy clicks. They don t tell you if something is confusing, boring, or actually worth shipping.

What would make you stay in a pixel city?

LivinPixel is in open beta request access at livinpixel.online (no install, browser only).

The plaza, avatars, chat, and rooms are live. The living economy (you don t visit the city, you produce it) is what we re building next, in public.
