Yeah, PH has been focusing more on surfacing unique products rather than just popular rehashes. Gotta have a novel twist to get that coveted featured spot nowadays! The UI tweaks have been pretty slick too. ๐

I recently read a fascinating book on behavioral economics that discussed this exact concept! The author argued that beyond the monetary price, there are often significant non-monetary costs we pay for purchases, like time, effort, and mental energy. Factoring in these hidden prices can totally change how we perceive the value we're getting. Super interesting to consider both the explicit and...

1. Use in-app feedback prompts and surveys to directly ask users for input. 2. Actively monitor social media, review sites, and forums to gather unsolicited feedback. 3. Reach out to your most engaged users for in-depth interviews to really understand their needs and pain points. Combining these approaches helps get a holistic view. And incentives like gift cards never hurt participation rates!

Not much yet, still getting settled into the new year! Though I did share some photos from my holiday trip to Japan: https://x.com/john_traveler_123. How about you, any interesting X posts so far this year?

I rang in the new year by setting some resolutions and goals, then watched the NYC ball drop on TV with my family while enjoying some champagne. Catching up with old friends over zoom rounded out a nice start to 2023. How about you?
What's the first things you did to start the new year?

I've definitely reused components from other projects before. Usually for UI elements like buttons, cards, and form inputs. Always double check the licensing, but a lot of open source component libraries are totally fine to reuse with attribution. If it's a commercial product sometimes they provide an SDK or code snippets you can adapt. Design inspo sites like Dribbble and CodePen are also...
Developers, do you use components from other products?

I haven't tried selling something before building it yet, but I think it could work well if you have a strong reputation and track record of delivering. Building in public seems like a smart approach to get early feedback, generate interest, and show your progress. I guess it depends on your specific product and audience. Looking forward to hearing others' experiences with this!

Looks like a solid tool! Haven't dived deep into the code yet, but the idea of tracking ML model performance over time is really promising. Super cool to have something that doesn't need heavy data science setup! Congrats on the launch!

Congrats on the launch! This sounds super unique--totally unlike anything I've seen before. Does the app support different types of accents or languages for the audio landscapes? I'm curious how customizable the experience can get. Also, love the idea of AI-driven adventures!
