How do you currently generate Apex wrapper classes from JSON?

As Salesforce developers, we often consume external APIs and need Apex wrapper classes.

I'm curious:

  • Do you manually write wrapper classes?

  • Use online generators?

  • Use VS Code extensions?

  • Have your own internal tools?

What's the biggest pain point when working with JSON Apex conversion?

What is your biggest pain point when exporting Salesforce metadata?

As a Salesforce developer, I've often found metadata exports to be more complicated than they need to be whether it's setting up Salesforce CLI, maintaining package.xml files, or switching between multiple tools.

I'm curious to hear from other Salesforce developers, admins, and architects:

  • What tool do you currently use for metadata exports?

  • What frustrates you most about the process?

  • What would make metadata exports easier or faster for your team?

I'd love to learn from the community and use the feedback to improve Salesforce Metadata Exporter.
