How do you diagnose whether user churn is driven by high pricing or low perceived value?

Whenever a user cancelled, the most common reason selected was "too expensive." Naturally, we thought about dropping our prices or creating a cheaper tier.

When we actually talked to cancelled users, we discovered the price wasn't the real problem. They were happily paying double for another tool that saved them 30 minutes a day. Our tool just sat in the background because they didn't see where it fit into their daily priority list.

For founders who have adjusted their pricing model: how do you distinguish between actual price resistance and a failure to demonstrate clear ROI?

🤹 What Can Claude Skills Automate?

I recently saw a reel where a girl was recording a Skill with Claude to find newly posted real-estate apartments every day.

She had specific filters - location, price, etc. and Claude would go through the new listings, find the ones that matched, collect all the relevant information, and create a spreadsheet with the results every day.

Have indie founders ever thought of raising investment for their idea or app?

I have build close 2-3 applications till now, none succeeded. But, while starting building or even starting to market, I never thought of making it big enough. It is simply because I was working on small problems and creating small solutions for it and to be honest, never wanted to raise investments.

But, in the startup and saas scenario, there are companies and saas with minimal idea have taken investments. For me, investments are a way with which you come under pressure of increasing your numbes faster. While indie saas owners can benefit all the profits themselves while never have to be under pressure when app or startup is down etc.

What do you think? Raising investment is a good choice for founders or when is investment needed?
