Coming back after maternity leave – nervous but excited!
Hey community,
I took 2 years off after giving birth and coming back to joining a startup has been exciting, but also pretty intimidating. Things move fast. Tools, trends, expectations, everything feels like it kept running while I was away. Has anyone here started (or joined) a startup after a career break? What was that transition like for you?
And if you re comfortable sharing: What would you tell your past self who was just coming back?
I know Product Hunt is very maker-driven and growth-focused, but I also feel like a lot of us are navigating life changes alongside building products, and we don t really talk about that part as much.
What do successful Product Hunt launches have in common?
Over the past few days, I ve been trying to understand what helped the most successful launches stand out.
In general, here s what I noticed they tend to share:
Their Product Hunt page had at least 500 followers.
The product was in overall good condition (I mean, already had some level of reputation, really good marketing).
Many were hunted by well-established, well-known hunters on the platform.
Every comment received a response.
The visuals were strong there was almost always a video or demo featured at the beginning of the carousel.
Feedback wanted: AI that handles the "what's for dinner?" mental load
Hey Product Hunt community!
I'm building something to solve a problem my family faces every single day, and I'd love your feedback.
The problem:
Every household has someone carrying the invisible mental load of meals. It's not the cooking that's exhausting it's the deciding. 21 meals a week. Remembering who eats what. Knowing what's in the fridge. Figuring out quick meals for busy nights.
