I grew up in a working-class family and eventually became a PhD electrical engineer. Today I work on improving the reliability of railway infrastructure. Outside my day job I enjoy solving practical problems. Like many people, I receive a constant stream of emails, reports, contracts, invoices and official letters. Understanding them often takes far longer than it should, especially when one also needs to watch out for phishing or scams. Some time ago I started build apps, usually late in the evening after my daughter has fallen asleep. What began as curiosity slowly turned into something real. ExplainThisDoc grew out of that process. I tested it on hundreds of my own documents, and it helped me so much that I decided to share it with others.
