2 weeks before the product launch. What am I doing in terms of preparation?

Not really much, and it annoys me a bit. In exactly 14 days (28. 1.) we will launch the product, and the only thing I do is talk about it.

But yes, there are points that I still want to master by then, e.g.:

  • Create an informational newsletter inviting people to follow our product page

  • Create a list of people who could support us and ask them for help

  • Announcements on social networks

  • Inform Kickstarter backers who supported us with updates this is also an audience

  • Publishing a Product Hunt badge on the landing page

  • Continually grow and maintain a personal brand which should be a long-term goal, not just for launch purposes.

πŸ‘‹ Any solo developers here? Would love to hear how you’re building

Hello, Product Hunt I came to Product Hunt because I know there are a lot of solo developers here. Building alone is exciting, but also pretty tough sometimes. You have to plan, build, design, market all by yourself. Some days you re confident, other days you re full of doubts. I kept wondering: Are there more people thinking the same way as me? How do other solo developers stay motivated and keep going? That curiosity brought me here. I d love to hear how you re building, what you re struggling with, and what keeps you moving forward. If you re working solo, let s share experiences, help each other out, and try to build consistently together. Looking forward to learning from you all

I built 80% of an invoicing app myself β€” then had to rebuild it properly

Hi everyone

I m Bela, founder of Invoice Guru. I didn t come from a tech background I started this as a tradesperson who was fed up with doing invoices late at night after physical workdays.

I taught myself everything from scratch and ended up building around 80% of the product on my own, before eventually handing it over to professional developers to help finish and harden it. At that point, I learned a tough but valuable lesson: big parts of it needed to be rewritten properly to scale.

All in, there s already 1,300+ hours of professional development in Invoice Guru and it still feels like the beginning. There s a long list of features planned, but I m very conscious about not overbuilding and focusing on what really matters first.
