I’d say to aspire to be on this list one should be optimising for more than only vanity units like producthunt votes and twitter followers. Difference or impact made is ideally what you’d want to measure, whether that’s total user count, downloads, revenue, blog page views, YouTube watches, number of book readers, speaking gigs, etc. Total staff count also important as a positive and deduction....

Upvoting as I'm the target market for this and love that the niche is being addressed. Honest feedback of my first thoughts though: - How do I trust this product to do my accounting for me? - You don't have the proof of time like Xero or Freeagent, so there's got to be some kind of other trust signal eg: > Do any of the founders have accounting experience or are accredited? > Is there any...

Hi All. I am immensely proud to announce Dinghy, insurance for freelancers. Finally, freelancers have a fair deal when it comes to insurance, with the ability to pause their cover when they’re not working or on holiday. What isn't used, isn't paid for - it's that simple, as insurance should be. My co-founders @ben_wilks, @robghartley and I have collectively been freelancers ourselves for well...

A completely new approach to insurance for freelancers - faster, cheaper & fairer protection. For the first time, freelancers take full control - customising or freezing cover as their work changes. B-Corp Pending, Dinghy is committed to making insurance a social good. Away with faceless corporate tankers! Welcome to flexible insurance with a heart

I'm not sure where it lies on their roadmap, but I love the idea of a unified access 'key'. E.g. Authorise the person owning this LinkedIn profile to enter the building between these times on this date. If the same access card (or NFC device) I use to get into my own office could be used to get into anywhere else that I'm authorised - that would massively simplify things.

Ah this will be really useful for tracking when tickets become (re)-available. Last Glastonbury festival I used something similar (but not as good as this) to track and notify me as soon as one of the pre-pitched camping slots changed from 'Sold out' to a quantity-dropdown based on another customer refunding their own booking.

This will actually be really useful within my team at work for sharing shared login credentials / API keys without any associated 'giveaway' context. To date we'd used post-it notes (which would then be binned) - not so good for remote workers.
