@bramk First idea was to make something like that as anti-thief / anti-roommate solution but during the development I've decided that there is probably much more demand in "entertainment". Take a look at twitter or instagram how many photobooth selfies people post there.
@rrhoover Exactly. At least one a day. I'm still collecting for my time-lapse "dude made a selfie every day for X months" video :)

@rrhoover@grzaks Does this app have anything like this currently to compile all of the selfies into a video? There is an IOS app called everyday that does that and I'm on month two of using it. The video is hilarious. I would much rather have that though on my work computer.
Since a lot of smart people are looking here now I have a question to you all:
My next step plan is to test some growth hacking techniques on this project. My plan is to:
1) Add small logo+name overlay on all photos. I'm counting on similar effect to that achieved by "powered by" links.
2) add cloud layer for storing and sharing all those selfies. Links shared would lead to page similar to dropbox public links (ie. with some header + app name + on selfieapp.rocks domain)
3) improve social sharing options in the app to increase traffic to page described above.
What do you think about it? Does it have a chance to initiate organic growth? Would you do something else or differently?
Looking forward for your suggestions!
@Anderson760 Right. That's probably one of the most important things on the TODO.

@grzaks you need something to encourage sharing. Unlock new features or gain something positive for making it social.
I'd suggest start by hosting the images yourself on a web service that people can be directed to. Then add integrations / sharing from there.
@toobulkeh That's what I plan to do. I'll probably go for something like:
1) make the first launch seamless
2) after few days (or X selfies captured) ask for permission to create an account and upload all the previous photos
I still did not decide what freemium model could work the best. Which features should be free and which "mium" :-)
The very first idea is to make the basic feature (capturing selfies) free but charge for cloud storage. I'm afraid however, that people would easily bypass my premium feature by choosing destination folder to Dropbox or something. Actually I'm encouraging them to do that today :)

@grzaks focus on growth before revenue. If you get users you can get money.
The day is over and some of you might be interested so here's the summary of Product Hunt effect on Selfie App:
* 93 votes up at the moment of writing this comment
* 13 apps sold: $45 USD profit on iTunes Connect
* ~10 mentions on twitter
Not really ground shaking if you ask me but I'm still happy :-)
Thanks for your support!
