Tiny products, real problems

Forums

I wanted a simple and cheap way to make calls, so I built CallSpark.

First a lil bit of backstory.

I used Skype for years because it did one thing well. You opened it, typed a number, made your call, and that was it. When it shut down, I thought I d easily find a replacement. Instead, I ran into the same pattern everywhere.

  • Create an account

  • Pick a plan

  • Add a card

  • Verify your email

  • Commit to a subscription

  • Click through dashboards you don t even want

Somewhere in all that, the actual call stopped being the point. The tools became the obstacle.
