How we’re using AI to fix the "B2/C1 Plateau" in language learning (Beta + Giveaway)

Hi everyone!

After months of development, we are finally opening the Beta for Lingogrind. As a maker, I realized that most language apps focus on beginners, leaving advanced students (B2/C1) stuck repeating the same structural grammar mistakes forever.

We decided to build an AI that doesn't just "teach" but acts as a pattern corrector. It identifies your specific recurring errors and helps you rewire your brain through targeted practice.

I d love to get the community's perspective on this: When building an AI-driven tool, how do you balance "automated feedback" with "user intuition"? We are currently tweaking our correction engine and would love to hear your thoughts.

LINGOGRIND WAITING LIST IS HERE!!!

"Hey Product Hunt Community!

We're building Lingogrind, an AI-powered German exam simulator (Goethe, TestDaF, telc).

When preparing for official certification exams, we found the biggest pain point is getting real, actionable feedback on Writing and Speaking. Most language apps stop at multiple-choice quizzes, leaving serious students in the dark.

Our solution? An AI engine that not only grades your exam simulation but tells you exactly which sentence needs correcting in your Writing and where your fluency breaks down in your Speaking.

Training Languages Like Skills — Not Like Games 🧠💬

Hey Product Hunt!

Lately we ve been talking with learners, teachers, and exam-prep students and there s a pain point that keeps coming up:

Most language apps make you feel like you're improving, but don t actually prepare you for real-world use.

So we ve been building something different:

🚀 We’re recruiting 10 beta testers for Lingogrind!

Hey everyone

We re looking for 10 passionate language learners to test Lingogrind, our AI-powered platform designed to help you actually master a language, not just study it.

Why beta test?

When I first joined a language academy, I realized something was off.

Out of a one-hour class, the teacher spent maybe 10 minutes with me and the rest was just filling in exercises alone.

Friends told me: Try Duolingo or Babbel.
I did. It was fun but I wasn t improving.
I failed my first official exam .

That s when I understood the real issue we don t need more learning apps, we need a system to master a language.

23 y/o founder choosing to build instead of wait — let’s see where it goes

Hey everyone
I'm a 23-year-old marketing & business student and co-founder of Lingogrind an AI-powered platform to learn German faster through personalized practice and real-time feedback.

I'm here to build openly, connect with other makers, and show what we're creating with Lingogrind. Still early, but going all-in on shipping, learning, and improving every day.

If you're building in AI, education, or just want to connect and share the journey let's talk. Happy to meet ambitious people and exchange ideas.

What apps/technology were the most effective in acquiring a new foreign language?

I have been using Duolingo for almost 3 years to learn a language, but I don't know anything at all.

Of course, I have some basic vocabulary from the vocabulary words, but it's not conversational level. I'm currently considering buying textbooks and workbooks.
