Engineer at Sierra, working on AI agents. I like building products around language models, especially when the interesting part is not getting them to work once, but getting them to work reliably at scale. I’m particularly drawn to open-ended agents for things like recommendation, learning, and discovery, where there’s room for the model to explore rather than follow a fixed flow. A lot of what I enjoy is in the last few percent: making stochastic systems feel dependable, handling messy inputs, and building confidence in how they behave. Before Sierra, I worked on AI testing, researched LLMs for code and smart contracts, and worked in quantum computing.
