I'm interested to see how other parts of the app will change following this. Ex: What will the Tweet button become?

One unconventional way we've seen someone using our rental marketplace, Booomerang.io, was when a group of friends rented a set of camping gear, including tents, sleeping bags, and cooking equipment, not for a typical camping trip, but for a backyard sleepover party. They turned their backyard into a camping experience with a bonfire and everything. It was a creative and unique way to enjoy the...

Oh man, who knows what could happen in 5 years but here goes... In 5 years, I envision my product, Booomerang.io, to be a global leader in the shared economy. Revolutionizing the way people access and utilize sports equipment, or any household item. Our rental marketplace will have expanded to cover a wide range of rental categories. We will have established a strong presence in multiple...

Hey Hunters π Last summer my friends and I got tired of buying things only to use them once and then figure out where to store them without cluttering our homes. So we came up with Booomerang - a rental marketplace to help us save money, make money and hopefully to help reduce waste in our world. We launched an MVP last summer, and now we're thrilled to introduce the new and improved...

Oh man where do you start? Managing multiple responsibilities, dealing with setbacks and failures, "being your own boss" sometimes isn't as fun as people may think, it comes with long working hours and sacrifices.

I think it depends...some people may find that sharing their projects early on motivates them, others may experience the opposite effect. I feel that not sharing does eliminate external expectations and distractions that can hinder productivity but for me, the more people I tell about it, the more feedback and different perspectives I get.
Does anyone else find that telling people about your projects makes you not build them?

I'm not a marketer but I've read some very helpful books. I'm a Product Designer and the books I'd say that helped with marketing as well as designing a good produce are: 1. Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products 2. Lovability: How to Build a Business That People Love and Be Happy Doing It
As a marketer, what books have you read that helped you grow?

I think it's really cool and will introduce a lot of new ways to interact with technology but with a price point of approximately $3500, it might be hard to get that over a MacBook Pro.

Like other replies in this thread, your favorite founder will come down to who you've met and worked with. And I have to agree with others when they said their favorite founder is someone who's personality translates to creating an amazing, super fun work environment.

I'm a Product Designer and I've worked at 5+ different start ups that built and launched successful products. I'd say the biggest lesson is that you will find the right features to build from outside your company, not within it. That is to say, talk to your users/customers/target audience. Don't sit in team meetings and guess what your users want. Then go out and test your assumptions and...

For me it would be sales...as a founder you have to be good at sales, talking about your product and selling it.

No, I don't make a to-do list before starting my workday, I make it the day before my workday. To-do lists are hard to simplify because new tasks can come in at any minute of the day and then you need to determine is this task more urgent than the ones I already set for the day?
