What needs improvement
I purchased the Pro subscription for Trupeer.ai on December 28, 2025 (USD 49), but my experience has been extremely disappointing and raises serious concerns about the product’s reliability.
Here are the main issues:
Pro credits were never properly granted
After payment, my account still shows free-plan limits (around 45 seconds) instead of the advertised 20 AI video minutes.
I have not created a single AI video, only a few guides. Even assuming some AI usage for voiceover or translation, it is technically impossible to exhaust 20 minutes under this usage. This indicates a billing or credit allocation error. No transparency in AI minutes usage
There is no clear breakdown or log explaining how AI minutes are consumed. Users are left guessing what actions deduct credits, which is unacceptable for a paid AI service.Unstable platform and login issues
At times, I was unable to log into my account at all and had to access the service via another account. This points to serious authentication or session management problems.Poor PDF export quality
PDF exports are generated as a single continuous page without proper pagination, making them unsuitable for professional or print use. I had to manually export via Word or Markdown as a workaround.
Due to repeated technical issues and unresolved billing problems, I no longer trust this service and have removed my payment method to prevent further charges.
The idea behind Trupeer.ai is promising, but the current implementation feels unfinished and unreliable for paid users. I would strongly advise potential customers to proceed with caution until these fundamental issues are resolved.
vs Alternatives
I initially chose Trupeer because, at first glance, it looked like a convenient and well-designed solution.
The idea was appealing:
you record your screen, and AI helps by smoothing pauses, improving speech flow, and automatically zooming into relevant moments. If this workflow worked reliably — and if AI credits were allocated transparently — it could be a very useful tool.
However, in practice, these advantages were completely outweighed by pricing and transparency issues.
A USD 49 subscription effectively covered only a few short, very basic videos. At that point, all functional benefits become irrelevant. From a professional perspective, this pricing makes no sense: using a simple script with direct API access, the same type of video would cost well under USD 1 per video.
Additionally, the subscription experience itself raises concerns. While there is technically a “cancel subscription” option, the cancellation does not reliably go through, which further undermines trust and transparency.
In summary, I chose Trupeer for its promising concept and workflow, but the pricing model, unclear credit usage, and subscription management issues completely negate its potential value.
Can I use custom brand fonts, colors, and templates?
Yes. Trupeer supports using custom brand fonts, colors, and templates without issues.
How well do auto-zoom and annotations match user actions?
In my experience, auto-zoom and annotations frequently failed to reflect actual user actions. The automation felt unreliable and inconsistent, which made the editing output require manual correction instead of saving time.
More importantly, after paying USD 49, I did not receive the functionality or usable AI capacity that was advertised. Due to credit and usage issues, I was effectively able to use the product for only a few minutes, which made it impossible to properly evaluate or rely on the automation features.
As a result, the experience felt less like a polished editing automation tool and more like a product optimized for initial conversion rather than long-term user retention. The marketing promises did not align with the real, paid usage experience.
Can I export videos in multiple resolutions and formats?
Yes. Trupeer allows exporting videos in three formats:
Auto
Horizontal (rectangular)
Vertical
These cover basic resolution and aspect ratio needs for different platforms.
