Stop launching solo. It’s not brave, It’s dumb

So many indie makers launch like this:

  • alone.

  • no hype.

  • no crew.

  • no plan.

  • just vibes.

They think it s noble. if it s good, people will notice.

But here s the problem:

I launched solo — and made it to the Top 5 today 🚀

Hey Product Hunt!
This morning I launched my first solo product ever: Controol a minimalist finance app built around one idea:

Know how much you can spend, not just what you already did.

No team. No paid ads. No launch list. Just late nights and building something I personally needed.
I honestly didn t expect much but hours later, it made it to the Top 5 of the day

The feeling? Wild.
Strangers are connecting with the mindset behind it, and it's been amazing to read their comments.

Launched a Little Puzzle Game – Here's the Story Behind It & I'd Love Your Feedback!

One night, my wife shared an old news story with me: the Wordle game (where players guess a five-letter word in limited tries) was bought by The New York Times. I was surprised that such a simple, old-style game caught the attention of a big company.

I casually replied, I d rather play a matchstick puzzle - a childhood game where you move matchsticks to fix a math equation. Then I said, half-jokingly, Why not create an online version for free?

Do you use Product Hunt more/less during summer, weekends or holidays?

I'm doing a little research on the traffic on this platform. Many people ask when it's a good idea to launch a product on Product Hunt.

I'd like to know your perspective on how you spend your time here during specific seasons (weekends, holidays, summer).

Steal this idea: What's a product you wish someone else would build?

Ever had a random idea and thought, Someone should totally build this ? Drop it here.

This thread s for the stuff you don t want to build yourself but really wish existed. Weird, useful, hilarious, oddly specific all fair game.

I Feel I'm New Here Again! Help!

Hi everyone, I'm Derek!

I launched my first product here 6 months ago (last September), and I've noticed Product Hunt has changed quite a bit - especially the forum, which I remember used to be called "discussions".

Does an AI based social network make sense (And would you use it?)

According to the Verge, Open AI is trying to create a new social network where people can share their creations produced by artificial intelligence.

Meta is also considering creating AI avatars for social media to drive engagement.

I decide what's featured on the leaderboard - AMA w/ Gabe from Product Hunt

Hi everyone, Gabe here! I lead curating Product Hunt's leaderboard.

First thing I will say is that if I could feature every single product that works, I would. I love supporting makers and demoing products. I actually try to test every single thing that gets hunted every day... which is A TON.  But I view our job as to surface the most interesting, novel, useful, and innovative products - daily. Now we may not always get it right, the process isn't perfect, but we're trying to do right by the community.
