Should brands measure AI visibility separately across platforms?

A brand might appear regularly in ChatGPT recommendations while showing up less frequently in Gemini, Perplexity, or Google AI Mode.

Each platform uses its own retrieval systems, available sources, and methods for generating answers. As a result, the same question can produce different brand recommendations depending on where someone asks it.

14 Seconds to Find the Bug, 3 Hours to Fix It Wrong

A production error pointed to a null value. I asked the agent to fix it. It added a guard clause. Tests passed. Deployed.

Error came back because the guard was in the wrong layer.
