PageMarks: save exact scroll spots.

About

I’m an independent developer building practical, user-friendly software with a focus on clean UI, performance, and privacy. I’m hands-on across the full build process — from idea → design → coding → testing → shipping — and I’m always learning, iterating, and improving with real user feedback. I’m especially interested in productivity tools, browser extensions, and thoughtful UX that saves people time every day.

ProofSearch - Independent trust layer for search results

ProofSearch adds an independent trust layer on top of normal search results. It helps users judge links before clicking by showing trust scores, source signals, review context, Scam Aware warnings, and clear explanations for why a result looks stronger or weaker. It supports Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo, with a local-first approach focused on user control, transparency, and safer browsing.

PageMarks - Never lose your place on long web pages

PageMarks is a Chrome extension that saves exact scroll positions on any long page—docs, tutorials, research, shopping, even ChatGPT threads. Drop multiple markers add optional labels/notes, and jump back to the precise spot later in 1 click. Includes a slim sidebar + ruler, custom marker styles/colors, and export/import for backups. Private by default: no tracking; your marks stay in your browser. Choose scope (this page/all pages), tweak bar/opacity, and keep momentum—no re-finding your place.

Help shape PageMarks before launch: what breaks scroll restore?

Hey everyone I m building PageMarks, a Chrome extension that saves exact scroll positions (multiple per page) so you can jump back to the exact spot later, with optional notes/tags. Before launch I want to make sure the core restore works reliably, so I d love your input: (1) which sites are the hardest for scroll restore (infinite scroll, SPAs like Notion/Docs, pages that reflow images/ads, etc.) and what symptoms you see (wrong position, drift, jumps, stuck loading)? (2) what would make this genuinely daily-use for you: keyboard shortcuts, folders/projects, per-site defaults, export/backup, sync, etc.? (3) what s the cleanest onboarding/UX for add marker manage jump back without getting in the way? If you ve got a problematic site, drop the URL + what you did (e.g., scroll to section X, refresh, reopen ) and I ll try to reproduce it.
