n8n saved me so much time. I really like that you can share the JSON to easily replicate someone else's workflow. I've used Zapier, which is probably the most well known out of all the node-based automation tools. I used Make.com for a while, but was really unsatisfied by the user experience. Make was also incredibly slllow. n8n is incredibly fast, I have yet to experience a bug. And by the time I wrangled around with Make, switching to n8n was easy.

Really one of my favorite products. I use it all the time to record demos for users and team members. It’s simple, clean, and does exactly what it needs to do.
The editor is intuitive and doesn’t try to do too much, but still gives you the tools to make your product feel easy, clear, and visually engaging. I do wish it was possible to have slightly more versatility to drop in an eternal video file into a project. It would eliminate my need to export into Davinci Resolve of Capcut to finish a video.
Also, not sure how often this gets mentioned, but I love that you can just buy the product once and own it forever. The SaaS option is there if you want it, but the one-time license model is incredibly refreshing.

I use Raycast for everything. It's what I expected from Apple and their OS, but instead, we get something much more robust than Apple would ever dare attempting to integrate. My team and collaborators live in different cities, and I have saved so much time and cognitive load just using Raycast to find out the time difference between where I am, and where the person I'm writing an email to is. Not to mention, I have integrated Raycast with Linear, and it is super helpful to create issues without having to leave the context window I'm in.

I’ve been using Obsidian daily for over a year now. There’s no onboarding funnel, no update pop-ups, no pressure to upgrade. It just works, and it keeps working.
You let some tools into your life without thinking too hard about it. Obsidian was like that, although I did spend probably an entire week customizing it, iterating upon a template until I figured out how to structure my daily notes versus larger long-term projects. I mean, I was not really just getting into a note-taking app, I was actually looking for a new way to structure my thoughts and create meaningful habits around journaling.
I really like that Obsidian doesn't get in the way once you customize it how you like. It's usually the first thing I open in the morning, so I can plan the whole day ahead of me, journal my thoughts, and take notes for my meetings without it being overly complicated.

I’ve been using Airtable for years. For form submissions, lightweight CRMs, managing projects, or simply putting shape to information I don’t want to lose. It’s one of the few tools that doesn’t overcomplicate itself. Field types are intuitive. Views are clean. There’s a structure beneath it all that feels both solid and generous.
Lately, I’ve been using the built-in AI to help generate table structures and formulas. It’s surprisingly effective for customizing and scaffolding completely custom tables, and I find myself building what I need faster. I also use Airtable to store all of my automation outputs (Make, Zapier, n8n), and I really like its versatility when I need it to be.
The one thing I miss is the old sense of place. The recent dashboard redesign makes it harder to locate my bases. It’s not unusable, but the clarity got a little muddy.
Still, Airtable remains one of the few platforms that respects both form and function. It doesn’t try too hard. And for that, I keep coming back. I'd rather use it that Google Sheets or Notion's databases.
