What's your go-to stack for customer engagement (mobile + web)? And what's still broken?

Hey PH community

I'm digging into how developers handle customer engagement across mobile apps and web, and I'd love to hear from folks actually building/running products.

A few things I'm curious about:

  1. What tools are you using for engagement - push notifications, in-app messaging, email/SMS, onboarding flows, etc.? (Examples: OneSignal or anything homegrown.)

  2. What's working well - any tool or workflow that's genuinely made a difference in retention, activation, or support load?

  3. What's still a pain point? Common frustrations I keep hearing about:

    • Fragmented data across mobile + web (hard to get one view of the user)

    • High costs as user base scales

    • Notification fatigue / low opt-in rates

    • Clunky segmentation or personalization

    • Too much engineering lift to set up or maintain

    • Anything else you're wrestling with?
