About

Hey, I’m Shawn. I like building small projects whenever I run into a problem that feels like it should have a better solution. Right now I’m working on Release Sanity, a GitHub app that analyzes pull request diffs and highlights potentially risky changes before they ship. It’s meant to make large PRs easier to review by surfacing things like auth changes, API updates, billing logic, and deployment config. In the past I’ve built a mix of little web experiments, developer tools, and community apps around things like shared music listening, watching sports with friends, and gaming. If you try Release Sanity or any of my projects, I’d love to hear what you think.

Release Sanity - Instant risk signal for every pull request

Release Sanity analyzes pull request diffs and posts an instant release risk check directly on the PR. A single structured comment shows a risk level (HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW), highlights risky areas like auth, APIs, billing, migrations, and deploy config, and generates a release-readiness checklist. The comment updates as the PR changes so teams can quickly sanity-check a release before merging.

WatchParty - Live chat for live sports

I made WatchParty because watching games alone can get boring. Twitch streams have insane energy because of chat, but official sports streams don't. So I made a Chrome extension that adds a real-time chat overlay directly on ESPN, Prime Video, and Peacock, and even Spectrum SportsNet (for my fellow Laker fans). No more bouncing between Reddit threads or random tweets. Just memes, reactions, and hype from other fans, all right on the screen.
