About

After a few years in the corporate tech grind, I decided to go rogue and build my own tiny internet products. Right now, I'm fully in the "ship fast, break things, fix them at 2 AM" phase of my life. I love the messy reality of bootstrapping, from designing the UI to handling customer support myself. Total sucker for micro-SaaS ideas, minimalist productivity apps, and tools that automate the boring stuff. If you’ve built something that saves a solo founder an hour of manual labor, you automatically get my upvote.

Do you simulate important conversations before they happen?

I recently came across a post on X saying that "if you're strong at execution but struggling to level up as a leader, you may not be simulating before communicating".

This caught my attention as I do simulate a lot of important conversations before they happen. I've recently used LLMs and interview coaching tools, and even vibe-coded my own tool to act as an AI coach. But my main issue is that every time I use any of these, I have to start over and rebuild the context of what matters and what not, and run into the same frictions again. That in addition to constantly tuning the often sloppy AI advice.

Does being mentioned by AI actually mean your AEO is working?

I have been testing how different products show up in AI answers and noticed that getting mentioned doesn't always mean much.

A product might be listed alongside several competitors, get recommended without its own website being cited, or disappear entirely when the prompt is worded differently.

What's one launch day advice you wish someone told you beforehand?

Getting close to launching mine and honestly more nervous about launching than the product. What's something you'd tell a first timer to avoid? And on the flip side, what's something that worked way better than you expected going in?

Curious to hear how it went for you.
