I upvoted just because the early days of an app are great when reach is still free. My favorite author is there so that helps. But having done social for 23 years, I can tell you the spammers have always eventually show up. Will Bluesky find a way to beat them or will ad dollars get in the way? The only way to find out is by joining. No, not paid to shill. Just reading sci-fi tonight.

I've checked out HeyDay and as someone who has pivoted from tech to writing, it's a refreshing and very interesting product. I can now breadcrumb the rabbit holes I dig in a Marie Kondo kinda way. It's worth dropping 2 Twitch subs + a dollar for that level of organization.

For the bonus points... In my LLPSI (Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrate) Discord (Latin Language Server) there's been nothing to keep people motivated to finish the Lingua Latina book. The folks that have finished it did it out of sheer will. A great bot would be something that nudges people to keep reading Lingua Latina and not give up. Another great bot would be a bot that reminds you to keep...

I just used this to sign a PDF. The process is pretty straight forward. Step 1: Use your phone to take a photograph of your signature. At that point you get a code. Step 2: Use the desktop app to load up a PDF you need signed. Use the code from the mobile app to load up the signature on the desktop. This sure beats paying Adobe a monthly sub. If you need more heavy use, you can unlock the paid...

I just love the fact that there is now a real alternative to twitter. You need metamask and some Ethereum to use this app as well as good knowledge of crypto-security best practices. Pros: I really love this app. No more censoring! What you say is on the block chain forever. Tipping built-in. Cons: I don't expect my mom to figure this out, but maybe that is a good thing.

I've been using Scrivener for two projects: a novel, and a photo book. It is helping me with these projects very well. Unlike Word, I can create a section where I can put research notes. Who knows? Maybe Word does have this function but it is a pain to use Word, and you have to pay the Microsoft tax. One thing I really like is being able to synch across multiple devices. I can edit on my...

Love it for the social media douchebag free experience. Just edit and post your photos into collections, and see other photos.

Been using this to grow my Instagram in a truly authentic way. Glad to be given a road map, and also getting invited to a community of folks wanting to market to people as people. Still looking for my slack invite though. :)

I've been using the app before the current buzz right now. I love it because they've taken into account hashcrashing & it's the least spammy app because of that.
