WE'RE LIVE ON PRODUCT HUNT RIGHT NOW! 🚀

Holy sh*t, it's actually happening! Notetube is officially live on Product Hunt and I'm simultaneously excited and terrified

This is it - the moment months of coding, designing, and dreaming comes down to.

After countless late nights building the YouTube learning system I wish I had as a self-taught developer, we're finally here. Notetube transforms YouTube from passive watching into active, organized learning with AI notes, smart collections, progress tracking, and video chat.

I NEED YOUR HELP RIGHT NOW!

Fellow makers - I need your help with my Product Hunt launch 🙏

Building Notetube has been one of the hardest things I've ever done. Months of coding, designing, testing, and rebuilding - all while learning everything from scratch.

But here's what kept me going: Every time I used YouTube to learn something new (which was constantly), I hit the same walls that inspired this product in the first place.

Notetube transforms YouTube learning from:

Scattered, passive, forgettable

I'm launching on Product Hunt soon and I'm nervous (but excited!) 🚀

I'm launching on Product Hunt soon and I'm nervous (but excited!)

This feels surreal. A few months ago, I was just another self-taught developer frustrated with YouTube learning. Now I'm about to launch Notetube to the Product Hunt community.

The butterflies are real! This launch could be a game-changer for reaching the millions of people who struggle with the same YouTube learning problems I faced.

If you've ever:

Looking for a Co-founder (Business/Growth)

Hey Product Hunt!

I recently launched Notetube a full product that turns YouTube into a Personal Learning Hub by combining organizational tools and AI.

So far, over 200 users have signed up, and the feedback has been encouraging.

Ideally, I m looking for a co-founder who s strong on the business/growth side, is a genuinely kind person, and feels excited about what Notetube could become.

Hey PH Community! 👋 Self-taught dev here launching my first product soon

I'm Azhar, and I've been building Notetube for the past few months. Everything I know coding, business, design I learned from the internet. I learned so much that I was eventually able to build a product like this. But YouTube played a huge part in my journey, and I kept hitting the same frustrating problems: scattered learnings, passive watching, no way to track my learnings, and having no one to ask when stuck.

So I built the solution I wish I had - Notetube transforms YouTube from passive entertainment into an active learning system with organized collections, progress tracking, AI video chat, comprehensive AI notes and much more.

But here's what really drives me
I'm envisioning something much greater here. Millions of people from all walks of life learn from YouTube daily - students in developing countries, career changers, curious minds, people who can't afford traditional education. With the right tools, we can unlock so much human potential that's currently being wasted. As someone who lived this problem for years and built my entire career through self-learning, I believe I'm in the perfect position to solve this. But I can't do it alone.

I'm launching soon and would be incredibly grateful if you could visit our coming soon page and hit "Notify Me".

Notetube - Transform YouTube into Your Personal Learning Hub

YouTube learning is broken—passive watching, no organization, zero retention. Notetube combines organizational tools like collections and dashboards with AI features like chat, quizzes, and notes to transform YouTube into your own personal learning hub.

I Built the Ultimate Productivity Tool for Youtube 🔥

I've been self-learning from YouTube for years everything from coding to design to business skills. But I kept hitting the same wall: YouTube learning has no structure. Your knowledge gets scattered across random playlists, you're passively consuming content without real retention, and when you're confused, there's nobody to ask.

I built Notetube to fix this by layering organizational tools with AI to create a proper learning system:

Organizational layer: Build structured collections by topic/course/skill, visualize your learning progress with dashboards, create and track your learning goals .

AI layer: Automatically generates detailed notes (3000+ words for 1 hour of content) and summaries, identifies key moments with timestamps, creates personalized quizzes for retention testing, and provides a chat interface for instant help when concepts aren't clear .

As a One-Person Team, I Designed My PH Images in Canva—Feedback?

I m a solo dev launching my first SaaS Notetube and I designed all the gallery visuals myself in Canva . Before launch, I d really appreciate some candid feedback:

  1. Are the images clear in communicating key features?

  2. Do they look polished enough, or do they feel too DIY?

  3. Any suggestions for small improvements?

Gallery images: Canva
I'm on a tight budget and can t hire professional designers, so I m wondering do PH gallery images need to be perfect to grab attention, or are good enough graphics acceptable?
Appreciate any feedback to help make this launch stronger!

What problems do you face when learning from Youtube?

I'm curious about how you all approach learning on YouTube. Do you regularly watch tutorials, courses, or educational content for skill building?

I'd love to hear about your biggest frustrations and any solutions you've discovered!

I'm asking because I'm exploring ways to make YouTube learning more effective and would love to hear the community's experiences and insights!

I made YouTube smarter for learning (finally)

Before: Bookmark tutorial. Watch once. Forget everything. Repeat.

Now: Structured learning systems that actually work.

Notetube represents the evolution:

Beyond playlists: Smart collections, progress visualization, achievement tracking

What onboarding should I use for my learning app? 🤔

Building Notetube (transforms YouTube videos into structured learning with collections, AI-generated notes, quizzes, etc.) and need to decide on onboarding approach.

Option A: 3-minute overview video popup immediately after signup

Option B: Let users dive in organically

I've spent 1000+ hours learning on YouTube and built the missing piece - AMA! 🔥

YouTube learning is broken you watch amazing content but retain almost nothing. Your notes are scattered, you forget what you watched last week, and there's no way to actually test your knowledge.

After years of frustration, I built the solution I desperately needed :

Smart organization: Structured collections replace chaotic playlists, timestamped notes sync with video moments, and visual dashboards track your actual progress

AI-powered learning: Auto-generated comprehensive notes (3000+ words for 1 hour video), intelligent key moments, personalized quizzes, and chat with any video when you're stuck

I made Notebook for Youtube learning - supercharged with AI

YouTube learning feels like chaos you take scattered notes across different apps, forget what you watched last week, and have no way to test if you actually learned anything.

My solution combines the familiarity of a notebook with powerful AI to create the ultimate YouTube learning companion:

Notebook layer: Organize videos into structured collections, take timestamped notes that sync perfectly with video moments, track your learning progress with visual dashboards, and set learning goals that keep you motivated

AI layer: Auto-generated comprehensive notes (3000+ words for 1 hour video) and summaries, intelligent key moment identification, personalized quizzes to reinforce learning, and chat with any video for instant explanations when you're confused

Should you offer free access when launching a paid product on Product Hunt?

I'm seeing more products launch on Product Hunt that require payment to actually use any features. No free trial, no freemium tier, just a download that leads straight to a paywall.

Part of me thinks this makes sense. If your product has real value, why give it away? People on Product Hunt understand they're looking at premium tools. Plus offering free access can attract users who will never pay anyway.

But I also see the argument for temporary free access during launch. Product Hunt users want to actually try what they're upvoting. How can they give meaningful feedback or become advocates if they hit a paywall immediately?

I solved the biggest problem with YouTube learning 🔥

YouTube learning has no structure your learnings are scattered across random playlists, you're just passively watching without retention, and there's no one to ask when you don't understand something.
Notetube solves this by combining organizational tools with AI to create an actual learning system:
Organizational layer: Create structured collections by topic/course/skill, track your learning progress with visual dashboards, and set achievable learning goals

AI layer: Auto-generated comprehensive notes (3000+ words for 1 hours video) and summaries from any video, key moment identification, personalized quizzes to test retention, and chat with videos for instant help when you're stuck
and more features like taking timestamped notes, but I ll stop here.

Transform scattered, passive watching into structured, purposeful learning that actually sticks.

Making YouTube as powerful for learning as it is for entertainment.

Hey Product Hunt Community!

I recently launched a project called NoteTube, and I d love to share it with you all.

If you re someone who learns a lot from YouTube (like I do), you ve probably felt the chaos too many tabs, zero structure, procrastination and no way to track what you re actually learning.

NoteTube was born out of that frustration.

Hey PH! I'm building NoteTube to fix messy YouTube learning

I'm Azhar, a self-taught developer currently building NoteTube a tool that turns YouTube into a structured learning platform.

So like many of you, I ve spent countless hours learning from YouTube, but always felt the experience was messy and unstructured scattered tabs, no progress tracking, no way to retain what I learned. That frustration inspired me to create NoteTube.

It's still early days, but the goal is simple: Make YouTube as powerful for learning as it is for entertainment.

Super excited to be here, connect with other builders, and learn from this awesome community.

How do you educate yourself and upskill your professional knowledge? + Opportunity [AI School]

There's one good saying that
"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young."

This is so authentic, especially in the tech world, when everything changes so fast.

🔥 Roast my idea: drop your ideas and get brutally honest feedback 🔥

It's simple. Drop your next big idea and get some brutally honest but hopefully valuable feedback. The rules are:

  • Drop your idea, you don't have to go super in depth but give a sentence or two about what it is and does.

  • Get roasted, duh

  • Roast someone else's.

That way we create a cycle of feedback
