What advice would you give to your youngest self?

Makers, we all make mistakes when we work on projects. If there were a time you can go back, what would you change and what advice you give yourself?

Which platform do you use for personal branding?

Please tell me why in your replies. Would love to hear any tips. Since 2016 I've been using Medium to reflect on my career path, share learnings and mark major career milestones. It's been a great way to expand my network and increase my career capital. I also copy these over to LinkedIn where I have far more followers and connections. I enjoy writing so it's a fun and valuable way for me to work on my personal brand. I also use Twitter for meeting new folks but I prefer creating long form text versus threads. Tell me about you!

What are some SEO hacks that worked for you?

Hi All, I am a complete novice at SEO (have multiple years of Product experience at Amazon). Trying to teach myself SEO so that we can drive organic traffic. Hoping to curate some SEO hacks that have worked for you, tools you have used that have helped in SEO, and lastly even something as basic as how do we learn more about SEO - there is so much content out there but not one single source of truth. For me personally, I have tried the below: 1. Using Fiverr to hire SEO experts to build backlinks. It's at least customer reviewed so hoping it drives some improvement and is relatively affordable. 2. I downloaded Scrapebox. I use the keywords to find the top blogs and then go in and manually comment and share more information about my start-up. I'm still exploring and learning how else to use it as it has many more features. 3. Hiring someone to do an on-site analysis of how to improve the site for SEO. I know my site has latency issues so will be working on sorting that out. Thanks, Ankit

How did you land your first customers?

What has worked for you in landing your first few customers? We've just launched a public beta with a couple of initial customers and looking to onboard more. I'm curious what worked for others, especially in b2b saas space. P.S. Apologies if this topic has already been explored but I haven't found anything relevant.

What is the best marketing growth hack that you actually used and saw results?

Here is one of my all time favorites... Writing Pillar Statistics Posts to Get Loads of Quality Passive Backlinks I have used a pretty simple formula to get over a 1000 unique referring domain backlinks every year. Step 1 Find the keyword statistic phrases in your niche that have a search volume of 50+. For example, if you had a dog blog or website, then some of the phrases would be; dog bite statistics, dog owner statistics, service dog statistics. Step 2 Look at the first two pages of Google results and identify the post with the most statistics by looking at the titles. If the highest number is "37 Dog Bite Statistics," then your post title would take it a notch higher with "50 Eye Opening Dog Bite Statistics." Step 3 Compile a great blog post with a list of 50 stats and organize them for easy scanning. Every time a news reporter has a story about a dog attack, they go straight to Google looking for some stats to include in their article. They typically click on the Google result with the highest number in the title. After they grab a stat or two from your post, they link the stat on their article back to your post. What's your best growth hack?
