I spent six months building AUM Data Labs to solve a problem I constantly experienced: the friction between analysts and business users. Data exploration should feel like a quick, collaborative whiteboard session, not a painful cycle of exporting, emailing, and re-querying spreadsheets.
The Vision (Goals & Ambitions): My goal is to democratize data and make collaborative analysis accessible to every small and mid-sized B2B team. I focussed on real-time collaboration and natural language querying (English-to-Chart).
Data analysis is a team sport, but most tools force you to work alone.
AUM is a shared workspace where analysts, managers, and stakeholders collaborate on the same data in real-time.
Difference:
- Live cursors - see teammates analyse alongside you
- Instant diagnosis - In addition to "here's a chart," but "here's the problem + action"
- Multiple Canvases - track how analysis evolved
- Share view-only links - let stakeholders see without editing
