We're getting close to launching, and I keep feeling like there are a hundred things we could be doing right now, but probably only five that actually matter.

For those who have launched before:

• What were the most important things you did in the final few days?

• Which social platforms actually brought people to your launch?

• Did X, LinkedIn, Reddit, newsletters, communities, or personal outreach work best?

• Was there any small tactic that made a surprisingly big difference?

• What's something founders should never do before or during launch day?

I was prepping my YC application. I wanted to know: has anyone already done this idea?

YC's search gave me nothing useful. So I spent a weekend scraping their Algolia API, built a local database, ran embeddings against my pitch... and found 3 companies that had tried it.

What a day!

Yesterday, Honestly launched on Product Hunt and finished with 480 upvotes and 130 comments, placing us among the top products of the day.

We ultimately finished 2nd and, more importantly, we had the opportunity to share our vision with thousands of founders, marketers, and product builders who believe customer feedback should be honest and accessible.
