I built AuraCanvas — generative art that calms the mind
I've been quietly building AuraCanvas for the past several months and just got a new version approved today. Felt like the right moment to share it here.
The idea is simple. You draw on a dark canvas - anything, there are no wrong moves. Some people just draw and stop there. Others tap Evolve and watch the app grow something new from what they made. Every evolution is different. The same drawing evolved twice will never look the same.
What I didn't expect was what people started telling me after launch.
They said they open it when anxiety creeps in. When the day gets too loud. When they need somewhere to go that isn't a notification feed. There's something about drawing slowly and watching light respond to your touch that genuinely quiets the mind. That feedback changed how I think about what I built, and I leaned into it completely.
It's free to download. One single purchase unlocks everything. No subscription, ever.
I'd genuinely love feedback from this community, especially on whether the calm and creativity angle feels authentic or like I'm reaching.
