Although Layouts.dev is mostly a software based product, we created the Layouts syntax to fit the needs of davinci, the grandpa of ChatGPT. Thanks to it, models like ChatGPT can create beautiful interfaces without struggling with the complexity of the tech stacks that run them. We still use OpenAI API a ton within the product, and build the editor to be used by humans, but loved by AI.

Pexels provided us with an awesome API for their library of pictures and videos where Unsplash failed to understand our product.

Layouts.dev generates React code and is itself build upon React. In our minds that's the best frontend library out there.

Shadcn UI has helped us establish a strong base of components for Layouts.dev. Really nice work.

We love Tailwind CSS and made it the pillar of our syntax to design your components with code. Couldn't build Layouts.dev without them!
