Bring kids’ drawings magically to life

About

By day, I work in cybersecurity. By night, I’m a parent surrounded by paper, crayons, and kids who believe their drawings are alive. Chanimate started at home, standing over a recycling bin full of my kids’ artwork, realizing that photos and scans don’t capture what those drawings mean. I built this for my own family first, with a strong focus on privacy, safety, and creating something that adds joy instead of screen addiction. My goal is to build technology that feels human, respects users, and turns small everyday moments into something worth keeping.

I built Chanimate after almost throwing my kids’ drawings away

A few weeks ago, around 9 PM, I was doing the usual parent cleanup, throwing away piles of my kids drawings.

Standing over the recycling bin, it hit me:

Photos aren t enough. Scans aren t enough. These drawings deserved more.
