How do you decide if you can actually rank on Google for a keyword?

Hey PH community!

I've been building a tool for bloggers and content creators for the past few months and the core problem I kept running into was: How do you know if a keyword is actually worth writing about before you spend hours on an article?

Most keyword research tools give you a difficulty score but that score just counts backlinks on top pages. It doesn't tell you if Google actually wants a blog post for that keyword, or if Reddit is already dominating the top
