The Productivity Tool You Love to Hate (but Can't Quit)

We all have that one productivity tool that's frustrating, overly complicated, or just clunky. But for some inexplicable reason, we can't live without it. Maybe it's because your team is hooked, or maybe it just gets the job done despite the friction.

What's the one tool you secretly dread using but keep coming back to anyway? And more importantly: what's keeping you loyal despite the love/hate relationship?

What kind of apps would earn you more money?

I see a lot of tech products on Product Hunt that are meant to improve someone else's business situation, and as many makers as possible are ideally targeting the B2B market.

However, this past week I've also seen a lot of "fun" products that not only made it into the featured category but also earned one of the product of the day titles.

Useful platforms for hosting your community

I have made a list of platforms where you can create your community and share your knowledge in a closed circle (and in some cases sell memberships).

The list is according to my preferences, so the platforms I use the most are at the top.

Help me quit Chrome

I've been using @Google Chrome for years and honestly never thought much about changing. It just always seemed like the best and easiest option. Lately though, I've been feeling like maybe I'm missing out. Chrome doesn't feel like the no-brainer pick anymore, and I'm seeing more and more interesting browsers out there.

Currently, @Horse is my top pick. This is the one I'm most interested in trying out, but it also seems like a pretty different approach. I don't necessarily want my productivity to dip, but that may just be inevitable whenever switching.

I'm the ElevenLabs CEO - what do you want to do with voice AI but can't? (AMA)

Hi Everyone!
Solving AI audio end-to-end means tackling both generation and understanding - from text-to-speech to speech-to-text and everything in between. At ElevenLabs, we re working on breakthroughs in AI audio that bridge research and real-world use.
Ask me anything about what we re building, the challenges of scaling AI speech models, and where this space is headed. Also keen to hear what you ve built with ElevenLabs!

Which of the Product Hunt metrics matter to you the most?

I ve noticed that the purpose of people on Product Hunt is always different. Of course, the vast majority want to become the Product of the Day, Week, Month, or Year (or win Kitty Awards).

However, some are there for the community and their success metrics may lie in something else (e.g. the number of discussions created and rated).

What Features Do You Need That Lovable & Bolt.new Lack?

AI dev tools like Lovable & Bolt.new are great, but are they missing something you really need?

  • A must-have feature that s not there?

  • A pain point they haven t solved?

Drop your thoughts below! Let s discuss.

What capabilities do you think the next generation of AI browsers should have?

We are currently looking for some new possibilities in the AI era, and browsers seem to be a good starting point. What capabilities do you think browsers should have in the AI era? Or, will browsers still exist in the future?

I'd like to share my thoughts first. I believe an AI browser should be a small AI OS:

  1. Excellent reading experience, with summarization and generalization capabilities.

  2. AI Agent capabilities, with the ability to automate most operations and predict behavior.

  3. An AI Agent Store, replacing the current plugin system.

  4. A good AI browser is a good MCP Services.

  5. A good AI browser must have excellent privacy management features.

Why did games reminiscent of the 80s become popular on Twitter?

After Levelsio started posting about his latest project on Twitter, other creators started following him.

They created a game that resembles a Minecraft/Sims hybrid, where they offer sponsorship.

In itself, this can have an audience and be interesting for two reasons:

Why are there so few women in founder roles or in tech overall?

I still can't help but notice that there are not many female tech founders.

However, I ve observed that in some regions, such as India, more women are actively involved in tech.

Similarly, in the Nordic countries of Europe, women seem to have greater exposure to occupations that were traditionally perceived as "masculine."

Thinking of going Build in Public, smart move or just extra work?

So, I ve been toying with the idea of going "Build in Public" for my startup, but I m torn. On one hand, it seems like an awesome way to grow an audience, get early feedback, and build trust. On the other, I ve seen plenty of people burn out or struggle to balance actually building vs. constantly sharing updates.

I guess my main questions are:
What s the best way to approach it without it feeling like a second job?
Where do you actually build in public: Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, PH, or somewhere else?
Any success (or horror) stories from those who ve done it?

Instagram's Edits vs. TikTok's CapCut?

The short video format originated primarily on TikTok as "TikToks." Of course, it was then picked up by Instagram ("Reels"), YouTube ("Shorts"), and later other platforms began to embrace this trend of short, vertical videos (LinkedIn, X).

For these purposes, TikTok created a mobile video editing app and later a desktop version, CapCut. (2019)
And guess what...

Cursor is now my go-to for PM work—goodbye Google Docs!

Recently started consulting with a startup, and I ve fully switched to Cursor for all my PRDs and PM needs no more Google Docs or anything else. I ll never go back!

With MCP, I ve even connected Google Docs, just in case I ever need it right inside Cursor itself, haha.

Oh, and I m nudging the devs here to try Cursor too slowly moving them away from Copilot.

Is Notion Database a Good Fit for CMS?

I'm curious can Notion's database be used effectively as a CMS for websites?

For example, managing content for an e-commerce site or a news/blog platform.
