Does the emotional sting of a customer canceling ever actually go away?

People talk about churn like it's just a cold spreadsheet number, but every single cancellation email still feels like a personal rejection.

Even when you look at the exit charts and realize they just weren't a good workflow fit it's hard not to take it personally after pouring months of work into the product. You tell yourself you'll get used to it but seeing someone downgrade or leave still stings.

For those of you who have been building for years does that feeling eventually fade, or do you just learn to deal with it quietly?

How do you handle bug reports that you can't reproduce locally?

Trusting user reports is so hard when your local tests and staging environment show a completely green checkmark.

For the longest time I used to assume the user was doing something weird on their end only to find out weeks later it was a subtle race condition.

Once you finally spot one of those ghost bugs, it completely changes how you look at support tickets. Do you usually ask users for video recordings right away, or do you try reproducing it blind first?

Best way to design habit triggers for dev tools?

Building a background desktop or terminal companion sounds cool, but balancing daily usage with zero distraction is really tricky.

If the tool runs completely silent in the background based on git commits, people just forget it exists. But if you force developers to manually log sessions or click buttons, it turns into an annoying chore that gets closed during deep focus.

What's the best strategy to keep users engaged with ambient dev tools without breaking their actual focus?
