@rrhoover I have tried fleex. It completely destroys the user experience by forcing me to stop the movie to get the translation. Also you can't watch a movie with multiple people for the same reason. Lingvo.tv allows me to do it in an async fashion. I watch the same movie with my gf, but we lookup different words)
I'm pretty sure you know that issue. You're watching a movie in a foreign language and suddenly you're missing a vocab. Usually you either continue without understanding that word or you have to pause the movie and look up the word.
My friend @oleg008 has solved this issue by creating an app that automatically lets you translate any word of the subtitles. You only need to install a Chrome extension and to open the mobile web app on your smartphone.
I wish this was dual subtitles. I worked on a similar app a few years ago with a friend that helped people learn the top 1000 english words using Vice News TV video. http://lingomill.appengine.com
@datarade You mean displaying on the movie 2 subtitles in 2 languages?

As a French who learned English thanks to video games and movies, I think it is a really great idea! Thank you for making such a product :)
