What do you think? …

Love this idea. Just added my phone number. @davidchouinard how do I retrieve these recordings later? Are you listening to my responses? 😛
David Chouinard
@rrhoover thanks! Let me know how your first call goes. 💪 On the website (what callfrank.org looks like after some use: http://imgur.com/N7gKkoz). Been working on a feature that periodically brings to light back old recordings, but really, nearly all the value comes from capturing. Nope. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Tyler Willis
@davidchouinard I disagree that all the value comes from capturing, would love access to the journals for reflection (preferably in text). Maybe an idea for a future up sell? I'd definitely pay to have a journal that was super easy to keep/re-read. Also, I ramble, I might like >60sec options. 😄 Great idea!
David Chouinard
@tylerwillis Yes, possibly. Frank can periodically text you old recordings (transcribed) — that functionality is currently disabled, I didn't find myself using it much. How would you see yourself looking back on the journal?
Tyler Willis
@davidchouinard personally, I'd like to look back periodically (1x/week?) and get a feel for my week. I'd also love a type of archive (maybe a searchable history of transcripts?). The last part may be overkill - I'm a bit of a digital hoarder - but I'd use it.
David Chouinard
@tylerwillis The archive is definitely in the works: it's currently just a list on callfrank.org, but eventually would have search tools, filters, etc. Would you like a weekly newsletter summarizing that week? I really enjoy listening to older recordings: maybe a "this week last year" email?
Paul Tomkinson
Be cool if this ultimately packaged the audio journals in book form if ordered.
David Chouinard
@paultomkinson Interesting. I love the physical artifact.
Nicolo S
Love the concept but Is there any way I can use this from a UK number?

I've been using Frank for a few months now, during its early beta, and can't speak more highly of it as an addition to my daily routine. Every night at 10 PM I get a call to recount the day's events. The quickest and easiest way of journaling I've encountered. Also, just as a note about David, he's a relentless maker and I'm excited to see how this product evolves.
Brett Johnson
this is brilliant. i fear we forget 90% of our lives. what an awesome tool for cataloging even the most basic days. agree with @paultomkinson here too. would be awesome to somehow be able to package this into a physical (or digital) product with the ability to add pictures/edit text perhaps? essentially it would take most of the hardwork out of journaling. great work.
Corey B
so great! loved it until I saw David made it, then I loved it even more!
Joshua Pinter
@itscoreyb That could gone of a different way. ;)
Rohit Sivaprasad
@davidchouinard Great stuff! Loving the product, the UI, and the service so far. I'm assuming you're using twilio for this? How are you planning to cover the costs? I've been calling Frank back to reduce your cost! :P
David Chouinard
@ro_hit_ Yup, Twilio. Unclear yet, but there are some ideas around premium services.
David Chouinard
@ro_hit_ Appreciate the small effort!
