The main difference is that with Flightfox you only work with one researcher (sort of like a travel agent), that you choose at the beginning of the process, and then you're stuck with them.
With Zyppos, you have the entire community/network of experts working for you and competing to get you the lowest fares and best itineraries. You can then mark your favourite expert and they get notified if you have any contests in the future. The idea is to assign you your favourite expert, while also making sure they have an incentive to always get you the best results.
