Notes capture points, but the structure behind them often gets lost. ZoomMap helps you build a layered knowledge map: put the big picture above the details, nest cards, and draw connections. Open or fold layers to move between overview and depth. Attach passages and images from your sources to show what supports each idea. ZoomMap Agent asks questions and spots gaps as you think. When you're ready, it can create cards and citations from your instructions. The thinking stays yours.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Manpo, the maker of ZoomMap.
I built ZoomMap because of a problem I kept running into: I’d finish a book with plenty of notes, and a few months later I could read every note but couldn’t say what the book was about. The points were there. How they fit together was gone.
Francis Miller’s paper on multi-level content put a name to it. Experts can zoom in and out fast because they know the relevant clusters of knowledge and how those clusters connect. Notes don’t keep that. Text hides the structure between the lines, and the big picture gets buried in the details.
So ZoomMap makes the structure the thing you build:
• Each card is one conclusion, with its details nested in the layer below
• Cards on a layer sit on an open canvas, linked to show how they relate
• Expand or collapse layers to move between the big picture and the details
• Cards can cite the PDFs, EPUBs and web pages you import
• The Agent asks questions and points out gaps, then builds cards and attaches citations once you’ve decided
Every new account gets 200 free points to try the Agent, no credit card needed.
To see what a finished map looks like, open one of our featured maps: Darwin’s On the Origin of Species, an overview of psychology.
I’d love to hear what you’d map first, and where the structure feels hard to build. I’ll be here all day answering questions.
