I built this MVP to solve the problem of finding the right video or audio content to motivate me to start and complete a treadmill run or indoor bike. I already knew that a great running documentary would motivate me to get on the treadmill on days when I couldn't get outside, or that a guided indoor bike workout would get me through an effective session, or that a just right podcast would help me get out of the door for a long run. The problem was that it could be a giant time-suck trying to find good content. I would check my subscriptions (Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.) then look on YouTube for a suggestion, check SalomonTV, RedBullTV, Vimeo and so on. Sometimes 45 minutes would disappear and I still didn't have something I wanted to watch or listen to. I built Zone2Review.com to list reviews to endurance sports content with categories and tags such that the content would be filterable. Now I can quickly filter by media type, featured sport, recommended workout, featured athlete and more. There's also a bookmarking feature so I can cue up multiple videos to roll through automatically (which helps when the videos are shorter than my planned run), and list my other bookmarks such as podcasts and audiobooks. Zone2Review doesn't host or take credit for any of the featured content. It's a review site that aims to connect an audience with the content and credit the sponsors, athletes and producers that create the work. Ideally I would like to develop an app with a swiping nav (similar to Tinder) to make it even easier for users to find relevant content. Currently I am working on adding app and gear reviews.
