Zoho Creator Portal gives customers, vendors, and external users secure access to custom business applications built with Zoho Creator. Users can submit forms, update records, view reports, search data, perform custom actions, and interact with portal apps from anywhere using a dedicated mobile experience.
Would love to see an option for granular field-level permissions per external user role — for example, letting vendors see their own order history but hide pricing columns they shouldn't view. Right now role-based control feels a bit all-or-nothing, and that level of detail would make it way easier to onboard more diverse external users without separate portals.
Setup was surprisingly painless and the mobile portal actually felt built for external users rather than a stripped down admin view. Forms and reports both loaded fast for me.
One thing that would help a lot is letting portal users see a history of their submissions or requests in a timeline view, kind of like an activity log. Right now it's hard to track past interactions and follow up on older items without digging through emails. Would love something like that added in.
A dedicated dashboard builder for portal users would be huge, letting them pin their most-used forms or reports to a personal homepage instead of hunting through menus every time. Would love to see that as an option in a future update.
Would love to see a way to embed the portal directly into an existing company website with custom branding, so users don't have to navigate to a separate Zoho domain. A simple snippet or iframe option would make it feel like part of our own platform rather than a third party tool.
It would be great if the portal let admins easily customize the login page with their own branding, like a logo and color scheme, so external users feel like they're using our company and not just Zoho. A white-label option would make it feel much more polished.
