Ziggers is India's on-demand gig marketplace for hiring catering staff, event workers, delivery partners, warehouse workers, hospitality staff, and finding part-time, temporary, flexible, and daily wage jobs across India.
the escrow part is the piece I'd want to understand better before trusting it for something like catering staff for an event. if a business claims the work wasn't up to standard after it's done, who actually decides whether the escrow releases, is there a dispute process or does the business just get to hold the payment unilaterally? that's usually where trust breaks down fastest on gig platforms, way more than the KYC side
@omri_ben_shoham1 Honestly, I think escrow is either the thing that builds trust... or completely destroys it.
We definitely don't want businesses to have a "Reject" button that lets them keep the money. That would make the platform unfair for workers.
The current approach is that if something goes wrong, both sides can submit evidence like check-in/check-out, photos, chat history, and other proof from the job. We review it before deciding what happens with the escrow.
Long term, I'd rather most disputes never reach a human. Things like verified attendance, GPS check-ins, proof-of-work, and reputation should make it pretty obvious whether a job was completed as expected.
We're still early, so I'm sure we'll learn a lot here. But I think getting the trust layer right is way more important than shipping another feature. That's the part we're obsessed with.
Building a platform from the ground up with just 7 people has tested us in ways we never imagined. Congrats on the launch guys The daily-wage market is so stressful for everyone right now Businesses struggle to trust who they hire and workers constantly worry about actually getting paid at the end of the day. Fixing this broken system with real KYC checks keeping the money safe in escrow, and adding live tracking so everyone is on the same page changes everything for both sides.
