It is designed to display images, websites, and news within approximately one second. Why was it created? Bangladesh currently does not have an independently operating domestic search engine. Previously, search engines such as Pipilika and Chorki were developed in Bangladesh, but they are no longer operating. Zidolite Search was created as a Bangladeshi search-engine project by Bangladeshi citizen Scientist Arafat Isaac (born 30 December 2012, Bangladesh). What problem does it address? When a search engine and a browser are operated as two separate applications, using both applications can require additional device resources. On low-cost mobile phones or ordinary devices, this can contribute to slower performance, overheating, or hanging. Zidolite Search is designed as an all-in-one application, combining search-engine and browser functions in one place. The project is also designed to retain information about visits to no more than ten websites. It does not track what users are doing on websites, and no advertisements are currently displayed. As a result, the application does not use information about what users are viewing or what they prefer for advertising. What other problems can occur? When separate search-engine and browser applications are used, they can accumulate cache, cookies, and other browsing data. Tracking and stored website-visit information can also increase the amount of data associated with applications and devices. According to the concept behind Zidolite Search, reducing the amount of stored browsing information can help keep the application simpler and lighter. What problem does Zidolite Search solve? Zidolite Search is designed as an all-in-one application that combines a search engine and a browser. This means that users do not need separate applications for searching and browsing within the Zidolite Search concept. The browser component uses Google OAuth 2.0 technology, and websites can be used for sign-up, sign-in, and login through available methods such as Google, Apple, email, or phone number, depending on the website. What else does it do? Zidolite Search is designed not to retain information about more than ten website visits. It also does not monitor what users are doing on the websites they visit. A defense system has been included to help protect users from harmful websites. The search engine is designed to provide results in the language used for searching. Its primary language is Bengali, reflecting its development in Bangladesh. Why is it special? The project is notable for being developed by a young Bangladeshi developer, Arafat Isaac, born on 30 December 2012, who developed the project using a mobile device.
