weirdly, when i ask to go to the airport, my uber x drivers invariably ask me to pretend they are just friends dropping me off for some reason. what's the deal w/ ubers, taxis, and the airport?

@eriktorenberg There's lots of money to be made from lucrative airport fares, which may be one of the reasons why there is some controversy and legal issues around anyone other than yellow cabs being allowed at certain airports. Certain entities don't want to lose their share of this pie.

Some cities have laws prohibiting rideshare drivers from working the airport. Some drivers at such cities have gotten tickets or had their cars impounded at the airport. This is not an issue at all at most airports.
Rideshare drivers who continue to work airports affected by unusually strict laws have been taking measures to be stealthy in a variety of ways. Erik, I think that's what you've experienced.
At ZettaDriver, we encourage drivers to research and be aware of their local laws before doing airport runs.
We are hoping that the cities which have such strict laws will relax them over time.
I have actually talked to Uber and Lyft drivers about this very topic. It's all about being at the right place at the right time.
Let's see if @claykasow can jump in and answer some questions.

It's really an honor to have ZettaDriver on Product Hunt!
ZettaDriver is still a very new product and we are learning tons from the feedback we are getting from drivers.
It's always very interesting to see how analyzing data in new ways can be helpful for very specific groups of people. It feels good to help people in the real world using this approach, and to provide a useful service.
I'm happy to answer any questions, AMA!
