I'm curious how well this works. If it's anything like my experience with autonomous drones, then it'll just crash into my face right after launching

Not sure about this, there's so many "pocket selfie drones" on the market and I haven't found one yet that had promising positive reviews.

"Target tracking" a little girl riding a bike may not be the best choice of words and imagery.
