You open Twitter to see what people are building. You get war updates and election arguments instead. ZenX fixes that ā it silently collapses toxic, political, and controversial tweets as you scroll. 100% local. No data collected. Free & open source. Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox.
Hey Product Hunt! š
I'm Asim ā second launch here, still figuring this out š
I built ZenX because my X (Twitter) feed was genuinely making me anxious.
Every time I opened X (Twitter) it was politics, war news, or someone screaming about something. I tried muting keywords manually ā it lasted about 3 days before new ones showed up.
So I built an extension that just... handles it silently.
A few things worth knowing:
š 100% local ā your tweets never leave your browser, zero servers
š Not just muting ā it hides tweets behind a shield overlay with the reason shown, so you can peek if you want
š Custom keywords ā add anything you personally never want to see
š Chrome Sync ā your settings follow you across all your devices automatically
Install in 30 seconds (no Chrome Web Store yet, but it's dead simple):
ā Download zip from GitHub releases
ā Drop it into chrome://extensions as unpacked
ā Done

Honest question ā what toxic topic would YOU filter first if you installed this right now? Drop it below š
And if the Chrome Web Store version would make you actually install it, let me know ā that's next on my list.
Report
I tried it, but this Chrome extension doesn't filter out anything political, controversial, or related to Gaza, Palestine, or Israel as claimed.
