I built Zen: Anxiety Coach for Women. The on-device AI is named "Sage".
Sage is your personal AI anxiety coach, designed with women's experiences in mind. Whether you're navigating hormonal shifts, parenting overwhelm, or everyday stress, Sage guides you through evidence-based techniques from CBT and mindfulness.
Unlike other apps, Sage runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence. Your conversations never leave your phone — complete privacy, always available, even offline.

@julius_b Congrats on the launch, Julius. Using Apple Intelligence on-device is huge for anxiety support, and I like that Sage is grounded in CBT + mindfulness with women’s experiences in mind. How do you handle safety boundaries (e.g., crisis situations) and personalization via HealthKit/cycle tracking? Excited to try it.
Safety: Sage (my name for the AI avatar powered by Apple's Foundation Models inside the Zen app) is prompted to respond with empathy first, never provide medical diagnoses or medication suggestions, and if Apple's guardrails trigger, Sage gracefully redirects to calming techniques. Everything stays supportive, never clinical.
HealthKit: Currently Zen writes mindful session minutes and mood check-ins to Apple Health. Your Zen sessions contribute to your overall wellness data. Zen does not read or write cycle data for personalization, but if that's something you mind be interested in, I could add it. I want to keep Zen focused and respect user privacy, like being intentional about what health data Zen accesses.
