ZapLock encrypts any folder in place on macOS, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android. The folder keeps its name and its path, and you unlock it with your ZapQR sign-in. You can share a folder with another ZapQR account and take that access back at any time. It is free to download on the App Store, the Mac App Store, the Microsoft Store and Google Play. The Free plan locks one folder; Personal adds unlimited folders and sharing.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Vincent, the solo developer behind ZapLock.
I built it because encrypting files still means containers, vault apps or yet another password to lose. I wanted to lock a folder right where it lives, in iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive or on the device, and unlock it with a passkey instead.
How it works:
The folder is encrypted in place with AES-256 and keeps its name and path
You unlock it by signing in with ZapQR, and the key is split between your device and ZapQR
Share a locked folder with any ZapQR user and take back their access with one tap
Unlocked folders lock again when the session ends
Lock on a Mac, open on Windows, iPhone, iPad or Android
The free plan locks one folder. Personal adds unlimited folders and sharing.
Feedback I'd love most: what would stop you from trusting ZapLock with your important files, and which folder would you lock first?
