YoLista is a list app built around one problem: two identical gifts under the tree. Make a wishlist and send the link. Family opens it in any browser, no install, no sign-up. Whoever picks a gift reserves it and it disappears for everyone else, and you get notified who reserved what. Prices show in your currency. Beyond gifts: shopping, packing, to-do, guest, recipe, movie and book lists, shared live. No ads, no account. 30 days free.

@stenlyΒ this is SUCH a good idea. We even had the situation of gifting the same to my mum :D
I'm curious about 2 things:
How do you keep it a surprise, so the person who made the list canβt see whatβs reserved? :D Can you make it private to the ones being "gifted" and only visable to the rest of the family?
And: can several family members chip in on one bigger gift?
@denise_louisHi Denise, thank you so much! Same gift for your mum, that's exactly the story behind YoLista :D
Q1 β keeping it a surprise: Not yet. The list owner and co-editors can see who reserved what. I built it while making a wishlist for our 1-year-old son, so the typical use is someone making a list for someone else, often parents for their kids. A workaround that works today: let someone other than the birthday person create the list, e.g. a partner or sibling, and the surprise stays safe. A "hide reservations from the owner" mode is on my to-do list.
Q2 β chipping in on a bigger gift: Right now one person reserves a gift, but they can of course buy it together with others. Proper group gifting through the shared link is a great idea and I'm thinking about how to do it well.
If you try the app, you can send both ideas via Settings β Suggestions, where others can vote on them too.
Thanks again! π
