YOBO wants to reinvent and simplify the classical city-/local guide app by using nothing else than photos 📷 emojis 🍕🍺😘 and lot of AI 🤖 It basically changed the classic rating system using stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ into just using emojis 🍕🍺😘 Users share photos of locations and tag these places using up to 3 Emojis.

Thx @ralphstenzel 😃 Working hard on coverage. We use image recognition for getting data out of pictures and to translate it into emojis. So its saver for us to crowdsource the images. Anyways, hope its fun to share a pic rated with 3 Emojis 😄

We‘ve build YOBO to make finding, sharing and rating places easy and fun 😜 Would love to hear your Feedback & thoughts 😇 Works in Berlin, Hamburg, London, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, NY, LA and Miami 📍 We basically think that emojis allows us not only to display all information about places visually - using no text at all - but also to learn better about how our users feel at different places. So we can make these feelings searchable: Use 🤗 to find something happy, use 💩 to find something shitty or hit 🍕 to just get a nice slice of pizza. We think it’s not your friends, nor ratings, nor any local guides which decide on where to go - it’s your personal feelings 😊

@erd_so Yes, Berlin is our starting point, but right after Berlin comes London, with roughly 100 something shared Happy Places. Besides that we see in London the highest organic growth by now. At this moment we focus on genuine user generated content to see if people are willing to share pics on our app like they do it on Instagram. Because we are using image recognition to get data about each spot (and translate it into emojis ;) its also the saver way to store these images on our servers, so we can use them to train our personalization AI. Would be awesome if you´d share some of your Happy Places. Since I know you like Wohnzimmer, I believe you´ve got a pretty nice taste 😃
